From new CD, available at cdbaby.com or www.tallstrom.com TAB at http This may not be that easy but hard work has never been more fun:) Now if I could only take the gum out of my mouth when recording… Licks similar to those used can be found at my website. Note: This was done as a “music video” where I´m playing back to my own recording, hence the bit of sync issues before the steady tempo kicks in… Played on a Loef guitar: www.loefguitars.fi
www.jaquiegipson.com I play six and twelve string acoustic guitar. My music incorporates melodic two hand tapping and percussion techniques into more or less traditional fingerstyle playing. This style is sometimes called “Touche Guitar”.
This is the slowed down version of my song “Hope” (Acoustic guitar piece in open D). I’ve divided the song in several parts like intro, couplet etc.. I’ve got so many nice and warm responses to this song ; Which was really encouraging especially cause it’s an own song! I also got quite some requests for the tab and I finally finished it ! The tab is here : www.myspace.com/heronymusic or mail me at jeroengrootbeumer@gmail.com The purpose of this video is to get a closer look at the finger positions (Which is very important for this song Ithink. Some parts are unlogic or harder to play when you use the wrong fingers.) When I learn a song of someone else I always like to hear a slowed down version if possible. I think it helps out a lot to figure out all the little things that are going in a song. Here are some last tips for playing this song : – When you tuned your guitar to open D and the capo is on , check the tuning again. (It’s sometimes get’s a little out of tune cause of the capo) – The beauty of open tunings is that you can let many notes ring . Decide for yourself which you like to sound trough. – Start slowly with practising and in practise in pieces ( Intro , couplet etc..) – Make the song you’re own . There are no rules. So play it just the way you like. – The most important thing is that you use your ears to hear if it sounds correct (or to your satisfaction). There are little strums in it but you have to listen carrefully if you like to play them. I sometimes …
no i dont have the exact tabs but you can look on ultimate-guitar.com or acousticpower.com. the tabs are pretty close, the parts that you’re not sure of you can ask me or just watch the video closely. I dont have the time to write out the whole tab Another one of my favorite songs by Tommy Emmanuel. The song is broken up in to intro verse and chorus. All other parts are just variations on these three sections. -Suggest other songs you want me to teach. thats what im here for!
www.jesseguitar.com Hey guys, sorry it has been a while since my last video. Just finished High School and been on holidays. This is my cover of Tommy Emmanuel’s ‘Angelina’. I always liked the tune of this song, but never realised he was using a pick and his fingers so i gave it a try. Unfortunately i do not have a good 6 string acoustic (steel string) so i got my dad’s 12 string Maton and took away 6 strings. I actually don’t mind the sound, goes alright. Tried to make some deals with some guitar shops but no one cared ah well, the 12 string will do for now. Just going into Uni now, but i’ll keep the uploads more frequent. Thanks for watching Jesse
